OBI Applications Consultant

Responsibilities
The primary responsibility of a BI Apps Tech Lead is to design and lead BI Apps implementation. This position will be responsible for understanding the clients’ requirements, translating to solution design, and communicating well with both clients and other team members on the projects.

This position is expected to provide excellent customer service and documentation. While responsibilities will vary from project to project, this position is typically expected to:

• Collect the requirements and define
• Design solution and architecture to meet the requirements
• Install and configure BI Application within a variety of customer environments based on proposed infrastructure design (technical and functional requirements metrics).
• Utilize foundational functional knowledge of ERP source systems to navigate customers through BI Apps off the shelf content and help determine gaps
• Establish testing strategy and develop testing plan for unit, system and performance testing to ensure all the reports meet the requirements with no issue.
• Provide formal documentation of requirements definition, reports design specifications, and testing plan as needed.
• Exhibit strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical personnel.
• Strong problem solving skills particularly in the technical arena

Technical Requirements
Minimum 6 years of experience. Candidate must have expertise in all of the following:
BI/DW Concepts
Understanding of end-end Customization best practices from Source to Data Warehouse to Report
OBIEE 10g R3 – RPD Development, Metadata setup, Security setup
Informatica 8.x – Developing Mappings, Creating and configuring Sessions, Working with various transformations
DAC – Configuration, Creating custom Execution Plans, Working with Parameters
Oracle Database – SQL, Pl/SQL, Performance Tuning
Functional background on any of the EBS applications – HR, SCM, Finance
